News this Easter time

A very warm welcome to illustrator Sarah Evans, who is shortly joining us on the lower deck! 

Congratulations to Leigh, who has been commissioned to work on a project in Butlers Gap, more details to follow. 

Lorna Crabbe is taking part in an Spring open house event organised by Maika Crampton next Sunday, 19th April, midday-5pm at 35 St James Road, Hastings, TN34 3LH, tel: 01424 444851. Jewellery, ceramics, books, cards, retro swimwear, household textiles, crochet, cloth toys & fripperies for sale. All welcome.

First Thursday- thank you for coming!

Thanks to everyone who came along, much fun was had and many buns were eaten. Leigh surpassed himself with his vol-au-vent and bespoke stand offering. Now you all know where we are do feel free to pop by any time. 

We'll carry on with the First Thursday programme through until September and have all kinds of things in the pipeline, including an art jumble sale. We'll also be open over the Jack in the Green May weekend. 

We're taking part in Hastings Hot Houses in August, and Coastal Currents in September. More details to follow.

Maiden Voyage- 2nd April 2009, 5-8pm

We're now in the building! Much sorting, cleaning, painting, sanding, sweeping and moving things about has been going on, and we're preparing for our opening event Maiden Voyage on Thursday 2nd April 5pm-8pm. We'll be opening the studio doors and having a little housewarming as part of the First Thursday programme taking place throughout the Old Town

We'll be welcoming people to the studios with tea, buns and vol-au-vents.

The Work Ship is coming...

Incurva Studios is expanding, with five new artists moving into the studio space beneath. Collectively, they will be known as The Work Ship, with artists working with metal, precious jewellery, ceramics, artists' books, print, photography, painting, drawing and needlework.

The new studio will operate from late March 2009, and will be taking part in the First Thursday programme (April- September) opening it's doors for open studios and occasional exhibitions and events.

The artists are:
